Speech/language and hearing screenings will be offered to 4 and 5 year old students on October 22nd and 29th. Graduate students in the Speech-Language Pathology Program at The University of Toledo, under the direct supervision of a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist will perform these screenings.

Why is it important to have your child’s speech/language and hearing screened? Hearing is important for speech and language development, all of which are important for reading and learning. A screening can detect if your child needs further testing in that area (e.g., speech sounds, listening, talking, and early reading skills).

Permission slips to participate in the screening are due October 11th.
