Dear People of St. Paul’s Episcopal – Maumee,

Grace to you and peace from God our Creator.

We are thrilled to share the joyful news that The Rev. Patricia Rose has accepted our call to serve as Interim Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Maumee, Ohio. After a thoughtful and prayerful search process, the Vestry voted to extend this call, and it has been affirmed by Bishop Anne B. Jolly. Rev. Patricia Rose will begin her ministry among us on Monday, July 13″, 2026, with her first Sunday being July 19h, 2026. Plans are underway for a warm and celebratory welcome-and we hope you’ll join us in making her feel at home.

This has been a Spirit-led process, and we rejoice in the future we now begin together. Below is a letter of introduction from The Rev. Patricia Rose to help you begin to get to know her in her own words.

Faithfully,

J. Stephen McNally, Senior Warden
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Maumee, Ohio

Hello St. Paul’s!

I am delighted to greet you as your incoming Interim Rector, and very excited to meet all of you in July. Over the

past couple of months, it has been my great pleasure to be in conversation with the Wardens and the Vestry, and to get to know more about St. Paul’s. I have so appreciated the generous warmth and hospitality that is so apparent, and I continue to enjoy learning about St. Paul’s vibrant ministries, rich history, and strong lay leadership. I am really looking forward to our time together.

The first Episcopal church I worked in was in Cincinnati, and the rector had been there for over 2 decades. Knowing the strong connections that were there, my heart is with you in understanding how big this change is, and the challenges, emotions, and opportunities it brings up. Most recently I have been serving as Assistant Rector at St. Paul’s, Cleveland Heights, a very large church which has just finished going through a rector transition. Through that, I have learned so much about the practical needs and strategies of the process. I look forward to sharing what I have learned with you. I know there can be a lot of uncertainty, grief, and anxiety associated with this time, and we will honor and care for all of that together. And as well, I have every confidence in the goodness, grace, growth, and joy that this transition time will bring as we walk together with Christ and in Christ’s love and steadfast peace.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be saying goodbye to my current community, packing up and moving, and preparing to come to Maumee. St. Paul’s Maumee is and will be in my thoughts, prayers, and heart. I look forward to seeing all that God has in store for us!

With love and warm blessings,

Rev. Patricia
