"On Repentance and Repair: Making Amends in an Unapologetic World"

9:00-9:50AM

Skylight Room

The Adult Class on Sunday mornings is reading “On Repentance and Repair: Making Amends in an Unapologetic World,” by Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg. The book examines the five-step process of repentance taught by the 12th century Jewish ethicist Maimonides, using contemporary situations as examples. The premise is that there is more to repentance than simply saying “I’m sorry” without doing any transformative interior work on yourself or engaging in actions to repair the harm. We summarize the book and watch video clips each week, so you do not need to read the book to participate in the discussion.
