For the third year in a row, St. Paul’s will be marching in the Toledo Pride Parade with Better Together: Faith Communities United for Pride on Saturday, August 15. This year, we’ll be joined by more than 30 faith communities, along with anyone else who would like to march with the group.

Marching with Better Together is a meaningful interfaith opportunity to put our commitment to inclusivity and welcome into action. Last year, more than 300 participants from over 30 faith communities, representing nine denominations and faith traditions, came together in a celebration of love, justice, and belonging.

This event is open to people of all ages and abilities. Whether you’d like to march in the parade or help staff one of the Better Together booths, there is a place for you. If walking isn’t an option, volunteering at a booth is a wonderful way to participate and support the event.

Whether you’ve marched before or this would be your first time, we invite you to join us! The Pride Parade is a joyful celebration, and everyone is welcome to participate alongside St. Paul’s as we share a message of hope, hospitality, and God’s unconditional love.

If you plan to participate—whether by marching or volunteering at a booth—please let Jaimie know by completing the form below.

Walk with us as we celebrate love, belonging, and the dignity of every person.

Update from Better Together:

Please meet in front of the mural at 18th & Adams around 11:30am Volunteers will begin setting up as early as 10:00am if you’d like to arrive early and help.
Please note: Parking is limited, so we encourage everyone to carpool if possible.
We’ll gather for a group photo at 11:45am before the parade begins.

Prefer not to march?
You’re still invited to participate! A Better Together table will be set up at Trinity Episcopal Church beginning around 11:30am for anyone who would rather cheer on the parade than walk the route.
If you’ll be at the table, please bring:

    • A Better Together or inclusion-themed shirt.
    • Candy to hand out.
    • A chair if you’ll want to sit.

If marching, please bring:

    • A Better Together shirt. If you don’t have one, wear something that celebrates inclusion, preferably in bright pink, dark purple, or radiant green.
    • Swag, signs, and plenty of candy to hand out along the route.
    • Friends and family.
    • Feel free to create and bring additional signs to carry during the parade.
