Dear Friends and Members of St. Paul’s,
As you know, Paul will be retiring soon after 28 years of devoted service to our church community. His leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment have shaped our parish in countless meaningful ways, and we would like to honor his ministry with a lasting and heartfelt gift.
We are organizing a professionally painted portrait of the Rev. Dr. J. Paul Board as well as one of the previous rector, the Rev. Chris Luedde, to be hung in the Guild Room as a tribute to their years of faithful service. This portrait will serve as a reminder of the profound impact Paul has had on all of us and on the life of this parish. The Diocese recommended portrait artist Robert Hartshorn of Cleveland, whom they also plan to commission for a portrait of Bishop Hollingsworth.
To make this possible, we are inviting parishioners to contribute freewill donations toward the cost of the portraits. Any amount—large or small—is deeply appreciated and will help ensure this gift reflects the gratitude of our entire community. The total cost for the two portraits is approximately $9,800.
