Normally while Elizabeth Wayne Preschool is in session the church is buzzing with noise and activity. However, EWP is on summer break, so the Buildings & Grounds committee is busy making noise. Vestry asked the committee to give a quick update on projects that will be taking place this spring/summer. Below is a concise list of current church projects. · Bell Tower– We are working to fix leaks by installing an EPDM rubber roof in the attic of the tower. Water infiltration has been damaging the stairwell plaster, and the ceiling.
· Parking lot– Fresh seal-coat and striping in June.
· Rectory – All wood floors and stair treads will be refinished.
· Paint – Bay window features on the Parish Hall, Guild Room, and Rectors’ office will receive a fresh coat of paint this season.
· Columbarium– Installing additional niches in the Memorial Garden wall. This is phase two from the original construction plans.
· Fence– A new fence along the East side of the parking lot will be installed.
