Friends,
A note about building security: Our secretary returns from maternity leave next week. I am eager to have Morgen back. Our new parish office hours will be 9am to 1pm, Monday through Friday. Please note the doors to the building will be open when the secretary is present in the office. The doors will lock at 1PM when she leaves for the day. The doors will be open again for evening programing, such as AA, committee work, or Christian Education programs. The purpose for locking the doors is to maintain security while the preschool is in session. Guests in the building must be known to the secretary or other staff. This is the best way to keep our children safe. I am always available for pastoral or other needs. I live here. If you need something, please let me know and I can get you into the building or tend to your need.
The Elizabeth St. office doors are on an automatic timer. The main doors from the parking will upgraded to a timer next month. Some folk like to enter the sanctuary and sit by themselves in prayer. They don’t wish to bring attention to themselves. I respect this. I installed a light in the back of the sanctuary that stays on from sunset until 10PM. A motion detector also triggers the light.
So, 1pm to 4pm Monday through Friday you will have the most difficulty getting into the building. All doors are locked for preschool security. You may get in after 4PM until the lockup team sweeps the building every evening. These are volunteers and their goal is to lock up at 9PM.
I pray you are well and healthy. Please let me know if I can assist you in anyway.
Peace, Paul+
