Saturday, April 19th, 5:30 PM
We will start with a light dinner around the campfire and storytelling at 5:30, then the multi-sensory Easter Vigil worship service begins at 6:15. Join us for this multisensory and participatory spiritual experience, which will include candles, chanting, wooden instruments, bells, asperges (sprinkling with holy water), singing, remembrance of baptism, Eucharist, and lots of fun ways to tell stories of God’s saving acts (such as skits or readings with props)! Don’t worry, if you aren’t a volunteer, you won’t be put on the spot in any way, just maybe asked to ring a bell or hold a candle at your seat.
If possible, bring flowers from your yard to flower the cross!
Easter Vigil is “the night in between” – in between death and new life, in between old and new creation, where we live our lives. This ancient and theologically profound service gathers us to contemplate the liminal space of this night and celebrate our resurrection hope.
