A Time to Celebrate, Reflect, and Commit: Our 2026 Stewardship Campaign
Dear Friends in Christ,
As Senior Warden, I am truly excited about the launch of our Stewardship Campaign, which begins on Sunday, October 26th. This campaign is a special opportunity to reflect on the many ways we are connected to one another—past, present, and future—through the story of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Maumee.
Our parish’s story began nearly 190 years ago, in the 1830s, when a small group of faithful people gathered to worship, serve, and build a community grounded in love. Over the decades, those connections have grown into a rich tapestry of faith, fellowship, and service. Each generation has added its own chapter to the story of St. Paul’s—through their gifts of time, talent, and treasure.
This year’s campaign is also a time to celebrate and give thanks for the remarkable ministry of our Rector, the Rev. Dr. J. Paul Board, who will retire at the end of this year after 28 years of devoted service to St. Paul’s. His leadership and faithfulness have helped shape the spiritual life of our parish and strengthen our mission in the wider community. As we honor his legacy, we are also called to look ahead—to ensure that St. Paul’s remains strong and vibrant for the generations who will follow.
Our campaign goal is $475,000, which will nearly cover our 2026 operating expenses and sustain the ministries, programs, and outreach that define who we are as a parish. Meeting this goal is about more than balancing a budget—it is about continuing the work that God calls us to do together: nurturing faith, welcoming all who enter our doors, serving our neighbors, and preserving this sacred place that so many call home.
I invite every member of our parish family to prayerfully consider your pledge for 2026 and to formalize your commitment early. Your generosity—whether through financial giving, service, or prayer—ensures that we can continue to “tell out” the story of St. Paul’s with joy and purpose.
Together, let us celebrate our history, give thanks for Father Paul’s ministry, and commit ourselves to a future rooted in faith, hope, and love. I believe deeply that, united in spirit and stewardship, we will meet this moment with gratitude and grace—and continue the work that began here so long ago.
Faithfully,
