With just one Bishop, she is not able to get to every parish every 18 months, so the Diocese will have more regional visitations to provide timely opportunities for Confirmation.
Bishop Anne Jolly will be at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Perrysburg on November 23 for Confirmation. Confirmation is the sacramental rite in which the candidates “express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop” (BCP, p. 860). It is appropriate for older teens who are ready to affirm their baptisms, as well as for adults who are interested in deepening their spiritual journey or making a renewed public proclamation of their faith.
