The Reverend Patricia Rose
Rev. Patricia Rose has been called to be the new Interim Priest at St. Paul’s. “I strive to live this calling with all my heart, mind, soul, and strength – tendered with joy, gratitude, good humor, and humility,” Rev. Patricia says in her Ministry Statement.
Rev. Patricia earned a Master of Divinity from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California in 2021. She has also served as a Spiritual Director since 2006, conducting individual sessions and retreats, workshops, and classes. Rev. Patricia earned her Master of Education at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland and was an educator and producer of educational television programs for 15 years in the Montgomery County, MD public school system.
Rev. Patricia has worked in ministry in California and Ohio since 2011, and most recently served as Assistant Rector at St. Paul’s Episcopal, Cleveland Heights. There, she oversaw Outreach programs including in areas of community hunger, immigration, multi-denominational campus ministry, and social justice programs in partnership with the community. She also built community relationships through interfaith gatherings and led Adult Spiritual Formation programs. Rev. Patricia’s prior experience includes serving as Clergy Resident at two churches in Columbus from 2021 to 2023 – St. Edwards and St. Stephens.
She has completed multiple additional trainings in congregational development, retreat leadership, personal transformation, and spiritual direction.
“I am so excited to offer all that I can bring to this beautiful community during this interim time,” she said. “It’s truly a heartwarming place enriched by its heritage and strengths as a spiritual outpost in the wilderness since 1836. I look forward to all of our joyous opportunities together.”
In a message to the parishioners, Rev. Patricia says, “Everyone’s kindness feels as natural and generous as the beautiful big skies of the Midwest that I am enjoying here in Maumee. Most importantly, your loving kindness speaks of the strong resonance of Christ alive here, which points to expansive possibilities for a bright future at St. Paul’s!”
Rev. Patricia Rose brings new leadership to St. Paul’s after The Rev. Dr. J. Paul Board retired in December 2025. Rev. Board served for 28 years at St. Paul’s and 30 years in Episcopal service in Ohio.
